Bristol Rugby Vs Doncaster Knights

Sunday 23rd December and it was the day I have been waiting for as I got to see my favourite rugby team play! I haven’t seen Bristol Rugby play in quite a while, I think it was back in 2010 so I was excited to say the least!!!

I was lucky enough to get tickets to this game from my MD at work, so I was allowed in a box.  This is all new  to me as I am used to standing on the Centenary Stand getting cold and wet, so I felt very privileged to have been asked.

My View

I had a few beers before hand, a lovely Pasty during the game and some good company.

Doncaster Knights are/were second from bottom so they needed a win, for Bristol however we needed a win to secure a move into the RFU Championship top four.  Suffice to say Bristol did not let the supporters down and pushed for a sixth win in succession with tries from Mitch Eadie and George Watkins.  Adrian Jarvis was also on the score sheet with some fantastic kicks too.

I do have to say that the 22 year old Doncaster Knights Full Back Connor Braid is a man to watch, as he was very impressive pushing for and scoring a try late in the second half.

Overall it was a good game, sloppy in parts butBristol came away with a win and I enjoyed myself!!

Annoyed With People…..

Ok so today I am annoyed, I am fed up with people in general.  I know this is a big this to be fed up with but let me try and explain…..

I deal with copious amounts of people on a daily basis they are english, foreign, family, friends, customers, managers and shop assistants to name just a few.  They all have one thing in common which I have realised and that is nothing to do with being a human being, its that they can all be complete wankers, which is putting it mildly.

I have to sit and explain things over and over again to people who don’t know what they are doing in regards to Insurance.  How do they get through life??

Me: The fees are in the terms and conditions which you agreed to when you took the policy out on line.

Customer: I did not agree to any terms and conditions.

Me: There is a box that you tick to confirm the policy and terms you are agreeing to, this needed to be ticked to proceed with the policy.

Customer: Oh, I didn’t read those….

That is one perfect reason how people get screwed over in life, then blame others.  If you are taking ANY sort of contract out then you read these terms.

 

Friends, well this is one thing that gets on my tits!!! Facebook and various social networking sites which allow you to have “FRIENDS” are nothing but trouble.

Wondered why my vision is blurred….. then realised I’ve got 2 contact lenses in the same eye!!!!!!! What a start to my week lol!!!!!! 😉    From a person who has kids, drives, lives on their own and is old enough to know how to put lenses in….

Friggin great!! Been suffering all day with cramp and leg going dead.. it stops for an hr then as soon as I get in to bed it starts again. Hurts so bad I want to cry.. 😥    Bloody well exercise, I have seen the shit you put down your throat!

If you are privileged to know me you will realise that I am a nice guy really.  All those people I would call true friends can fit in a room and I like it like that.  Why do people have to have 896 friends and 14,000 likes and why do they want them?  Only those that I allow close to me have any impact in my life and I still only listen to a few.

What A Load Of Balls

At the moment, my life is hectic, stressful and tiring…. I just can’t seem to get to grips with it.  This has all stemmed from becoming single!  I think that it will sort itself out and more than likely get a hell of a lot better.  I have to focus on me now, change for the better and not allow myself to make the same mistakes as I have previously.  I don’t really want to be single until I die!!

I do get to see the little man lots which is good but obviously its not the same as being able to see him all the time.  Also I don’t get to see him before he goes to bed and when he wakes up.. Crap, but I suppose I need to get used to it, I know that its not going to be easy though.  I never thought I would miss something or someone as much as I do him….

I have had 4 days off work and its brilliant, much needed rest-bite.  I went out with NJ on Monday for about 3 hours, fed some ducks and watched some rats.  So all in all it was a good day as I felt tired when I got home and felt energised too.  Back to work tomorrow though for one day! All because some twat booked only Fridays off. Never mind I have a few more days booked off, I just need to save my pennies so I can do something on the days off!

I am thinking on getting a bicycle too so I can get to work as the bike is out of commission and also for fitness.  I want to keep on top of this loosing weight business, I think the best diet is not having much money so you have to buy cheaper things, or have smaller portions!  So far so good though.

I did this today, really easy but it looks good…..

 

Anyway on that note I am off, time to try and relax some more.

Would You Bloody Believe it…..????

Ok so I have to have a rant about this one today…..

I answered a call today and the guy on the phone asked if he could have 2 policies on 1 bike.  So I explained no, this is due to the person who does not own the bike having no financial interest if a loss is suffered.  He kept talking to his dad and relaying the explanation I was giving him (one thing I hate….) I confirmed he would have to cancel his policy as his dad now owns the vehicle, this made sense as well as his dads policy was cheaper.  Suddenly the dad came on the phone ranting and raving at me, I politely requested he calmed down so I could explain but he was off, there was no stopping him……

So I let him release his demons and tried to explain again.  That was it off he went again, he complained about someone on the sales team telling him he was too old to be on his sons policy. I have never heard so much horse shit.  So I asked him to calm down so I could talk and he shouted at me saying DON’T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN amongst other things…..

Then promptly ended the call saying

“Fuck Off you Cunt”

WOW……

So there is me sitting there shocked at what I have just heard out of a 51 year old (who should know better) mans mouth.

So I have a quick tea break and carried on like a trooper.

I did however check his policy to see if he called back and would you believe it he did.

He also had the audacity to complain about me…..

Unbelieveable!!!!

However what everyone needs to remember and keep in mind when talking to anyone is customer services is:-

WE HAVE ALL YOUR DETAILS…… DON’T FUCK WITH US!!!!

Half way through the year already.

Just a quick blog as I was meant to do this before 12pm. It’s the 1st (now 2nd) June 2012 and wow has this year flown by. I mean so much has gone on already including a new job, new iPad, trip to Dublin amongst other things.

Oh an I am finally growing a tash. Ha ha.

It’s bank holiday weekend as it is Her Majesty’s Jubilee and I will be living the dream in work. Not to worry, adds to my pay packet. I also get to test out my new (to me) Malossi air filter on the way to work. Yea boi!!!!!!

We watched Friends With Benefits tonight and I could not stop laughing. So funny and so true!! Great acting from Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, great chemistry.

Anyway I’m off to bed so I don’t fall asleep at my desk tomorrow.
