Iron Man 3

Ok so I don’t review films very well, I do have my moments but normally I delete the post and not bother to update my Blog….

However….

I have seen 2 films this weekend and I will try had to let you all know how much I loved them, first one is Iron Man 3.

In my opinion not the best in the series and I feel thats down to the lack of Jon Favreau, saying that Shane Black does a good job.

Here the protagonist is not only, physically, an abundant superhero but he has brains. He is technically sound and creates gadgets which have a mind of their own! His suits are electronically equipped with super powers and he has named them too. He has the ability to rise from the ashes (practically) because he can think and resurface from his lost empire.

The characters in the movie are well etched and played beautifully. Robert Downey Jr. like never before in Iron movie series, Gwyneth Paltrow plays a smart support to the lead and not just a bimbo, her dressing is immaculate and boy can she kick ass!! Guy Pearce is the quintessential villain playing psychological fear efficiently. The one who impressed me the most was Sir Ben Kingsley. I understand why many laurels are bestowed on him, also because he can translate any character, even if it is not as meaty, with comfortable ease, which is unmatched.

If you are a fan of superhero movies, like me, you will enjoy this one too with all the drama, action, gadgetry, a few laughs and purpose.

Chernobyl Diaries

Chernobyl Diaries is an original story from Oren Peli, who first terrified audiences with his groundbreaking thriller, Paranormal Activity. The film follows a group of six young vacationers who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an “extreme” tour guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone.

Really not a film I would pay for, I was hoping for more but it was really poor. It’s the sort of film that you know what’s going to happen, the camera work is shaky and just makes it more difficult to watch.

When the end came I was happy to turn it off.

Ciao

Rocky Balboa – Love This Quote!!

Duke: You know all there is to know about fighting, so there’s no sense us going down that same old road again. To beat this guy, you need speed – you don’t have it. And your knees can’t take the pounding, so hard running is out. And you got arthritis in your neck, and you’ve got calcium deposits on most of your joints, so sparring is out. So, what we’ll be calling on is good ol’ fashion blunt force trauma. Horsepower. Heavy-duty, cast-iron, piledriving punches that will have to hurt so much they’ll rattle his ancestors. Every time you hit him with a shot, it’s gotta feel like he tried kissing the express train. Yeah! Let’s start building some hurtin’ bombs!
